But with a lack of sports on today we have an opportunity to try and take advantage of value in a different market. Iowa is ESPN's darling and they get the prime time slot on ESPN at 8pm tonight. With just NBA and 4 CBI games the main attraction today will be Iowa (W). Books know this and they also know that they will take an increased volume on this game, primarily on the favorite. This line is inflated. I don't usually model women's college basketball but I was able to find the necessary inputs to model this game. I got a projected spread of 8.5 creating a very sizeable edge on WVU (W). Makes sense to me. Books are not going to hand out anymore freebies after the weekend they just got smoked for. They will gladly hang an awful number and let the public jump all over a massive -EV side. I personally will do the opposite and take the 7 points of value with the dog and side with the books here. I expect this line to drop as sharp money comes in on WVU closer to tip. Sharps will be on WVU here and could very well push the line down so ill get it in early.
